Despite what I said in yesterday's post, I actually have to postpone the public launch of my devlog. D=
I recently stumbled upon the opportunity to play a part in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in my city. Budmen Industries released 3D printing files and instructions for making face shields for healthcare workers, and I will be organizing an effort in my city to recruit other people with 3D printers to help me make as many of these as we can for the hospitals in our area.
I am really excited for this opportunity, but given the evolving nature of the COVID-19 outbreak, I must work fast to help healthcare workers prepare for the anticipated rush of coronavirus patients into the hospitals. Therefore, I will try to keep posting devlog posts about my plans for gamedev or gamedev-related content daily on this website, but I make no promises. I may even just start a general blog regarding the aforementioned effort. But I probably will not be posting on my public Instagram because I need to focus on this new opportunity.
Hopefully everything will be set up in the next week and things will be self-sustained within two weeks, for that's about how much time experts predict the U.S. has before hospitals get flooded with COVID-19 patients. I'll try to keep posting here but time is luxury we do not have (despite what I said in my last post).
Anyway, I'm really proud to be able to play this role in fighting COVID-19, but a) everyone has their own role to stay at home and wash their hands, and b) now I don't have the abundance of free time anymore. Stay safe everyone, and I'll be back when I can!
