My original plan was to create a new website for the COVID-19 action I discussed taking in yesterday's post. However, this no longer seems to be a feasible option. Therefore, I am making a number of changes to this website so I can put the same content I was planning on hosting on the new site here.
1) As you may have noticed, this is now a general blog page, not just limited to my gamedev blog posts (devlogs). I've added categories on the right sidebar so you can navigate through the specific topics my blog posts will deal with, ranging from game development to this new COVID-19 opportunity. When I get back into gamedev I plan on making categories specific to games that I work on too.
2) I've created a separate Games page. I will host my game demos and downloads there, as well as put links to some of my game pages hosted on other websites, like itch.io. That page will have links and perhaps features from my devlogs on this blog page, but my devlogs will remain here.
3) I've added a Crafting the Curve page for the COVID-19 opportunity. Crafting the Curve refers to the attempt to help flatten the curve (that is, reduce the strain on hospitals) by crafting protective gear for healthcare workers. This is the name that I will henceforth refer to the COVID-19 project by. The page is currently under development but should be finished by the end of tomorrow.
Like I said in my last blog post, I will be scaling back from gamedev and posting on the Instagram page, but I will make one last post for now given the change in the website that needs to be updated.
Again, I'm really excited but also a little stressed about Crafting the Curve. Stay healthy and stay safe!
